Saadani Game Reserve
This is where the beach meets the bush, and is also the newest park of Tanzania, it became an official park in 2002, and the park is 1062 square km large. The park is located 150 km above Dar es Salaam. The park lends itself very well for a boat Safari on the Wami River, this is a 25 metres broad river, also swimming in the Indian Ocean belongs to the possibilities. The river offers you crocodiles, hippopotamuses and is rich in wildfowl. Furthermore in the park in the park there is a great mixture of landscapes where you can see marshes, savannas, tropical rain forests, and beaches, this is the only National Park that borders to the Indian ocean. Furthermore the following animals are seen in the park; elephants, lions, monkeys, zebras, wildebeest, dikdiks, impalas, several types of sulk, hartebeest, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, hyenas, several tropical birds and the rare sable antelope.
